Since 2018 we have been collecting your views on the key priorities for future change in Dalston. This consultation on the Draft Dalston Plan this summer is your opportunity to tell us what you think about the draft objectives, character areas and opportunity sites in the Dalston Plan and let us know if we have missed anything out.

  • Dalston Conversation & Dalston Community Panel

    Winter 2019

    In 2018 we launched the Dalston Conversation, which ran for 6 months and was the first step towards turning local priorities into meaningful action. Following this, in the Summer of 2019, we set up the Dalston Community Panel to help shape the engagement methods with the aid of the local community.

    In early 2020, we held the Towards a Dalston Plan: Key Issues and Objectives Consultation, which helped shape a collective vision and set of objectives for the area.

  • Streets and Open Spaces Workshops

    October 2020

    In Autumn 2020, we held online and face-to-face Covid-safe Streets and Open Spaces Workshops to help the community inform the routes and spaces proposed for new development set out in the draft Plan.

  • Consultation on the draft Dalston Plan

    October 2021

    A 14-week public consultation on the draft Dalston Plan was held from Wednesday 23rd June 2021 to Friday 1st October 2021. We asked you to share your views and feedback on the draft Dalston Plan and to let us know if we have missed anything. We held a number of online and physical events in Dalston. The consultation closed on Friday 1st October 2021 and we are currently analysing all feedback received.

  • Incorporating feedback and adoption of the Dalston Plan

    Early 2022

    The draft Plan will be revised to address feedback received. The aim is to have adopted the Dalston Plan by early 2022.

    Following the adoption of the Plan, the Council will work with internal and external partners and with the community to deliver improvements to the town centre.
