Do you have any comments on the implementation and delivery plan? Please let us know about any further opportunities or projects that should be included in the Dalston Plan.

Why did it take a Green Party member knocking on my door for me to learn that the Dalston Plan existed and that this consultation was happening? Very sneaky of Hackney to try and do this without all Dalston residents knowing.

Hi there, my note isn't really about the implementation, more about the Colveston 21st Century Street (but this was the only place it's mentioned). I live on Colvestone Crescent, and I think it's a great idea overall. But I have a pair of notes about it. First notes is RE the volume of non-residents cars we get at the market-end of the road. This has been reduced by the introduction of hourly restrictions for non-residents access (thank you!). However I'm concerned that when the 21st Century Street is made it will push all the parked cars AND the non-residents up the road and will make an even bigger mess/fight/shouting match on saturday mornings. I'm concerned that it will be the same number of cars and mess, just more concentrated. How can this be kept from happening? Secondly. I drive an electric vehicle. The lamppost chargers are fantastic, and good value for money. However the pillar chargers, run by Source London are about 5x the price, and no faster. They are an absolute rip off and, if you ask any EV owner, are of no use because of their excessive cost. Please don't use them for the chargers, espcailyl as I'll likely no longer be able to park outside my home and run a cable out as I do currently. Thank you!

The implementation plan shall take into consideration the disruptions that will be inevitably created to the residents of the area due to the envisaged works. I am specifically thinking of the noise and road disruptions related to the constructions of new buildings, e.g. in the Kingsland car park area. You should also consider that people are still working from home so having loud works on the streets would be a problem.

At the council’s cabinet meeting in May 2021 where the Dalston Plan was approved for consultation: Why is was the paper listed as affecting “All wards” - this clearly is a plan for one ward and there is no explicit consideration of the impact of the Dalston plan on neighbouring wards Why were the ward councillors not present for the discussion or able to give a view on the proposals as the representatives of Dalston residents? Equality Impact Assessments need to be undertaken for all of the opportunity sites Planning and implementation must be done in close cooperation with, and inclusion of the target groups, the residents (public realm, in particular open green spaces), the youth, un- and under-employed, and craftspeople needed for technical tasks to create a green economy and conversion of housing stock in response to ecological/climatical needs (training/employment)

It's disappointing to see how long residents of Dalston will have to wait for many of the improvements, particularly to the public realm. We need more ambition and faster delivery to improve the area for everyone who lives, works and visits here.
